States with high numbers of renewable energy jobs offered generous incentives for their development

U.S. companies have announced over 140,000 renewable energy jobs since the Inflation Reduction Act was passed in August 2020.

  • Georgia, Kansas, Michigan and New York are leading in renewable energy job creation by providing incentives worth hundreds of millions of dollars to companies making clean-energy products, as well as other policies such as workforce training programs and tax credits.
